Clicked on the spill kit listing but the details are kind of vague anyone got real world feedback
I was scrolling through Crateco’s site this morning because our HSE guy left a sticky note on my monitor that just said “get a spill kit already” and I found the US made section but when I actually tried to dig into what’s inside the drum I just got a bullet list of generic materials and a button that said see full info which frankly didn’t tell me much more than what I could guess from the thumbnail photo, and now I’m sitting here trying to figure out if this 95 gallon overpack version is going to be absurdly heavy to wheel around by myself when there’s a small leak or if it’s manageable. Like I get that it has socks and pads and goggles and a disposal bag but I really want to know if the absorbents are specifically for oil only or if they’re universal because we have a weird mix of hydraulic fluid and coolant in the Ajman shop and I’d rather not find out the hard way that the pads just bead up and do nothing when they hit water based stuff. Also the dimensions on the bin itself aren’t super clear and I’ve got a very specific narrow spot next to the compressor where I’m hoping this thing can live permanently without blocking the walkway, anyone who’s actually bought one of these can you tell me if the wheels are decent quality or if they’re those tiny plastic casters that seize up the second a bit of dust and grit gets in them because that’s been my experience with basically every mobile bin I’ve ever owned in this country.
